Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion
Partner Exercise--partners to be determined, and countries to be assigned by teacher.
In this project you and your partner will use the web to locate information about a country in Eastern Europe. You will then create a 6 slide mini PowerPoint slideshow with the information that you and your partner have found. The 6 slides will be saved either on a flash drive or e-mailed to me so that I may add them to our Tour of Eastern Europe Presentation. Once I have received all of the countries needed for our tour, I will assemble them in on final PowerPoint Presentation. On said day, we will then take our "Tour of Eastern Europe". During our tour, when we come to your assigned country, you and your partner (using the information on your slides or notes) will be required to present what you have found out about your country to the rest of the class. You are encouraged to make your slides easy to read with appropriate fonts, lots of pictures and accurate information. Be prepared to have your classmates ask you questions about the information that you have found. It is your job to be an "Expert" about all the information that you are presenting about your country.
You and a partner have been assigned a country from Eastern Europe to research. These countries include: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Moldova, and Bulgaria.

Now that you have obtained all of the required information, you must arrange all of the data on your slides. Slide #1 must contain the name of your country and at least one image. You may arrange all of the other information in any order that you wish, but you MUST have a total of 6 slides--the first one being the title slide, and you must carry the name of your country on each of the following slides somewhere at the top of the slide. Choose a font that is easy to read (Arial, Times New Roman, Comic MS, Verdana), and remember to size it appropriately. It should be no smaller than 16pt in order for it to be visible when projected on the screen. Include you and your partner's name on the first slide. Please include at least one image on each slide to make it visibly appealing for your classmates--WOW them!!!. Choose your background color carefully. Red or white font on a yellow background will not be visible when projected. You may choose any animation or transition effects that you wish, but remember too many 'special effects' my distract the viewer and distract from your presentation. When you have completed your slides, please see me so that I may preview it with you.
The attached rubric will be used for grading this project:
Eastern Europe is sometimes considered the 'forgotten' part Europe but as our presenters have demonstrated, it contains many geographic features that are unique to this particular region. I hope you have enjoyed your travels in Eastern Europe and we will continue to discover many other features of this area that are distinctively unique. During our journey through this region, please consider some things that you have learned, liked, or like to learn more about, and we will have a discussion about these things in class.
